A thread across many projects, the name for the overall engagement with institutional critique in various iterations, from disciplinary involvement to new mediums, to artwork, to actual criticism in analytical terms.
This realm of action has had various periods of intensity and visibility for me throughout the years. It’s also been undertaken both from inside and outside institutions, with various degrees of success, and through both theoretical critique and through actual pragmatic design and implementation of changes to structures, foundations, programs.
Institutional critique, then, across analytical pieces, art, design, and mostly, really, through participatory action and transformation. And intertwined with institutional design.
