Another thread project that cuts across multiple implemented pieces and works, the FLOS were generated as a concept independently of any particular site or discipline, and put into action in museums, in schools and afterschool settings, and especially at conferences and limited-time gatherings.
FLOs can be highly prepped, performed, and established curricula, or they can be impromptu happenings, or they can also be a certain type of unprepared interventions
At times, I’ve thought of them as radical artworks in and of themselves.
Alternative forms of education. Meaningful, impactful, but also fun and cool.
