The design of collaborative practices, frameworks, methodologies, and actions. All are important, and all have been creative endeavors that have allowed me, along with colleagues and collaborators, to innovate immensely within universities, museums, small organizations (some of those on whose boards I served), and collaboratives. This includes Pratt Institute and all the ongoing work at the curricular, programmatic, and institutional levels; The Museum of Modern Art and our award-winning programs and methods, Usdan (an arts organization whose program council I served for many years), The Swimming Hole Foundation (where we conceived the essential focus on collaboration and came up with terms like the ColCat and the Collaboratory. A great example of a the conceptualization and implementation of a collaborative framework is the project Signposts in the Sitescape, which, in addition, to creating the possibility of individual creations, also fashioned a truly innovative framework for collaborative process and practice, the FIAC: The Framework for Immersive Arboresque Collaboration, and the concept of Sitage.
