The large Poets-in-the-Cities and Poets-in-all-Places, are/ will be derivations from Poets-in- the-Galleries, which Prerana Reddy and I launched at the QUeens Museum in, gasp, 2007! Why I have PinG in the Musies–it really was a musie–derived from the possibilities of the museum–and then the PinC and the PiaP in cultural design. The first concept lends itself wonderfully to an expansion of the poetics and politics of PinG–not a franchise-like expansions, no, and certainly not for capitalistic gain, but for cultural design and what it means for Poets to act in the world.
