Dusk’s Ether with Ashes

A canto of ÉpïkàNôvá. Part of the Engendered Festival of New York.

Dusk’s Ether with Ashes was comprised of a number of objects and writing practices on a number of platforms and spaces. The overall narrative, disjointed, multi-sited, told the story of a young woman abducted in a revolutionary regime, emprisoned, and finally freed to be taken away again. Multiple dimensions and aspects of this ‘odyssey’ intersect, but diverge as well.

Unfolded in a gallery space (with pieces hanging from ceilings, and a big piece hanging from a wall, and other objects to be taken (take-a-text); on twitter, in the very early days of twitter; on the web site of the festival; and ending in a performance.
